Hype! Water with Style

History: In striking it bourgeois, the inventors of Hype! decided that the time was right to maximize their market impact. It was in a boardroom, following a discussion of the litotes & meiosis futures market, when the inspiration struck. The idea was simple, obvious: people would buy more water if water was more exciting. Thus, a brand was born. Armed with a desktop printer and paper cutter, the team went to work assembling endless flats (at least three) of Hype! Did they bottle it? No. Did they bottle it? Still no. Did they sell it? Well, they had to hire people first. And it is all but assured that they would have sold it (and lots of it), if the Water Baron hadn’t decided to renounce capitalism, steal all of the Hype!, and distribute it freely to the thirsty people of the dusty land.

 

Reflection: 🐉 I went to an arts & culture festival in 10f-24 and Hype! were the only people trying to sell anything. Was it a faux pas? Probably. Did the irony speak to the height of comedy? You betcha. I got my picture taken with a couple of the Hype! Girls and I keep it framed next to my bed. I never did get my hands on a bottle of the stuff and will forever wonder, was it really just water?
