Interpretation: In the dimension we come from, magnetic tape media is the ultimate form of storage for childhood memories. How else could you store such precious moments, but on the thinnest film, easily damaged and often recorded over and lost forever because AMC was rerunning the original Starsky & Hutch. In your dimension, this is a shout out to a simpler (or at least less supervised) time, where the kid who had stolen borrowed the family camcorder was documenting your latest daredevil shenanigans.
